Very fine sapphire of a well saturated and lively cornflower blue colour without any violet overtone. The stone is eye-clean, but under magnification shows typical inclusions of sapphires from the deposit in Sri-Lanka. Its colour is further pronounced by its well-proportioned cutting style, resulting in vivid blue hues due to multiple internal reflections. In addition to these qualities, this sapphire has been spared exposure to heat treatment and its clarity and colour are thus all natural.
