    Pair of fancy earrings in 14 cts. pink gold, platinum, old brilliant, single cut diamonds and enamel. Piece designed as a couple of children suspended inside a ring of onyx hold by a bar of diamonds. Platinum hand engraved and diamonds in a millegrain setting. Painted enamel and translucent enamel de basse-taille on a gold paillon.

  • Conditions:

    Signs of wear as commensurate to age. Some loss on the enamel, but not disturbing the general allure.

  • Commentary:

    Very attractive pair of earrings that might be approached to the work of Raymond C. Yard, who mixed small coloured figurine with straight black and white art-déco lines. The amusing fancy and colourful subject is considered as a typical characteristic of the American jewellery.
    Probably the small children are two circus character and are probably inspired by any series or spectacle of that time.
